Wednesday July16th

Today we woke up early. We finished the summer camp by packing our things and sweeping the monastery. Then we had a quick breakfast and we left for Prague. This year’s summer school was amazing!!!

Tuesday July15th

For the whole day we played a game. We had to find seven anomalies. The first anomaly was Bětka waking us up, because usually Juan woke us up. After we woke up we had morning exercise and breakfast, then we went to school and when we had prayer, Hope didn’t lead the prayer. And that was another anomaly. When we came back to monastery we had lunch, after lunch we had quiet time. After quiet time we had workshops. When workshops ended, we had final sport matches. After sports we had an evaluation of all summer school and we had a camfire. Then we had to pack our things because tomorrow we have to go to Prague early in the morning.

Monday July 14th

This morning we got up earlier than on the weekend, because we had to go to school. There we rehearsed our projects for the evening. After the rehearsal we went back to the monastery, where we had lunch. Today we had potatoes with meat. When we finished our meal we had a small break and by the end of our break we had to prepare ourselves for swimming. We went by bus to a swimming pool in Hořovice. We were there for around 3 hours. In the evening we had dinner and then we presented our group projects, plus we had our game of the day, where we had to ask people from Zaječov some questions. We finished the day by writing letters to each other.

Sunday July 13th

Today was Sunday. For breakfast we had choco balls and bread with jam. Then we prepared for our trip, which was 22 km. Before that we had a chat about how to behave on the way to get safely to our destination. After that we started walking. The trip was fun, but it was quite long. For lunch we had some fruit and pastries. When we got to Žebrák, we had some more food. After that Bětka and Michal drove us back to the monastery. We had dinner, then we showered, prayed and we went to bed.

Saturday July 12th

This morning we got up later, because yesterday we played North vs South. Then we had breakfast with a small break, we didn’t go to school because it is weekend. When the break was over we played a game, where we walked to five spots on the map, which we had been given before the game. We collected 5 clues that led us to a final spot, where we won an artefact. When everybody finished it was time for lunch and after that we could go into town. Then we played sports, out team played potato ball. Later we had dinner and we could have our phones for a little while. The day ended with a film, we watched Shrek in the school, but some people wanted to relax so they stayed in their rooms. Today was awesome, but the weather could be better.

Friday, July 11th

Today we got up later, because we had had bojovka the day before. Then we did all the things we usually do. We went to school where we were finishing up our group projects. For lunch we had tomato soup, which was delicious. Later we had workshops. I played board games. After that our group played potato ball, where we won hard. For dinner we had chicken with fries, which was once again delicious. This evening we played games. We had to work in teams or guess some riddles. We finished this day with North vs South.

Thursday  July 10th

Today was sooo fun!!! ????

This morning, me and the girl from my room woke up a bit late and we missed breakfast. But don’t worry, the teachers saved us some and it was really yummy. Then we went to our camp school again and today we learned about medieval food! Did you know people in the old times ate soup with bread like ALL the time?! ????

For lunch we had svíčková with dumplings (don’t worry, it was not real candle sauce ????). It was so tasty, everybody had seconds!! Some people had even thirds. After that we played games outside and guess what? Our team won at football! I even scored one goal (ok, maybe it was a lucky shot but it still counts!!).

For dinner we had the best thing EVER – little sweet buns with vanilla sauce!!! I ate so many my tummy almost exploded ???? (but in a good way).

Then in the evening we played more games and it was like, seriously magical ✨. We had a big team challenge where we had to do different games to win the main prize the bell (it’s a secret magical thing, I think). There was this funny game called pantomima (you have to act without talking!!) and also Chinese whispers where the sentence got all messed up and it was so funny! Like “The cat jumps” became “The potato flies to space” ????

Wednesday July 9th

In the morning we had woken up early and did a warm up in order to get ready for school. There we had our English classes, which were fun and rewarding. For lunch we had goulash which we enjoyed, but sadly there was not enough pasta. After a break and a workshop, where I played some board games, we played potato ball, but our team lost by one point. Then we had dinner and played our final game for the day. In this game we had to sneak past some marauders which we successfully did.

Tuesday July 8th

In the morning we woke up and went down for a morning exercise, afterwards we had breakfast and went to school. In the school Hope, Anna and Emma had prepared us lessons about medieval culture and lifestyle. We worked in groups, where we created posters about a specific social group such as nobles and merchants. Afternoon the instructors had prepared some workshops where we learned new stuff like cooking or dancing. In the next few hours we played sports and had a competition with the other teams. We ended the day with a campfire and a recapitulation of the day.

Monday July 7th

Today we woke up at 7 am. Then we had morning excercise. For breakfast we had chocoballs with milk. After breakfast we went to school where we had our English classes.
When school ended, we came back to sv. Dobrotiva and had lunch. Then we had freetime. After that we had a snack, the snack was ice cream.
Then we played sports, two groups played football and the other two groups played potato ball.
When we came back, we had some activites in our groups. After that, we had dinner and after dinner, in groups, we tried to find ancient keys. Then we got envelopes with a secret message, which we sealed with wax.
Later we prayed, then we hugged a person we wanted to thank for a nice day. And then we went to sleep.

Sunday July 6th

Today we arrived to sv. Dobrotiva. We played some games to get to know each other, because this year there are a few kids that don’t go to our school. Then we found out the theme of this year’s summer school: „The secret of the monastery“. After that we went through a time machine to get to the 17th century. We played some english games and then we got split into groups. After dinner we learned about the momastery’s history and then we went to sleep.
